Scott Memorial Chapter-AF168
3rd Qtr – 2012

Congratulations to our Secretary Mark Morgan for being selected as the State Secretary again!

This Quarter we were able to provide funds for the Civil Air Patrol Johnson Flight Academy for two Power/Glider Cadet training.  Supporting this training, aids in our goal of education through the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) initiative.  More than that, they are part of the Air Force family.

We also again supported the Air Force Aid Society, which can provide emergency and educational assistance to Active Duty and Retired personnel and their dependents.

Thanks to Secretary Mark Morgan for speaking at the AMC Senior NCO Orientation and for setting with the Spirit of St. Louis Chapter at the Scott AFB Open House.

We continue to put our funds to good use as demonstrated by the items mentioned above.  Unfortunately except for Community Partners such as 1st Command that just renewed their membership, our only other income has come from National Rebates.  If this doesn’t change we’ll be very limited it the support we can provide to organizations in the future.

As my active affiliation with the AFA comes to an end, I wish the Chapter the best of luck in the future!  As I mentioned in last quarters Newsletter, it is time to elect officers again.  Remember,  you have to be a paid member to hold an office.

Please continue to support the businesses that support us, which are our Community Partners-

“The Bank of O’Fallon”, and “1st Command Financial Services”.
